Life is ever changing these days... Sadie will be Two in a few weeks. I can't believe my baby will be two years old! She continues to amaze me every day. I just wanted to pop in and write a post since i've neglected this sad little blog since I started it. I guess keeping up with this and all other "mom duties" are a lot harder than I expected... harder to find time to sit and write about our days, our moments, our lives. HUGE Kudos to those blogging mama's that blog everyday. If I can't sneak it in at nap time forget it!

I'm going to try my best to keep up with this not just for my sake but so sadie can look back at these memories when she's older. On another note, Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited to spend it with my family and Thankfully Sadie <3 I fear the future and to spending holidays without her... Something I am going to have to get used to since we Co-parent. It's all in the best interest of Sadie so I'll have to suck it up. I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday and get to spend it with your loved ones. I am so thankful for so much in my life, I am thankful for the gift of life. Give your loved ones a HUGE hug! Happy Thanksgiving!

Before Sadie he was my one and only baby

Feeling a bit nostalgic today... thinking about how much my life has changed since the birth of Sadie. I came across photos of Naoki and I... aww how the times have changed. Naoki will be 9 this year on October 28th (he is my halloween baby)

I remember the day I picked him up from the breeders house. It was on Christmas day! I was so excited to go pick up my FIRST dog ever. All growing up we had cats never a dog, and I ALWAYS wanted one. I started off with a couple hamsters, then 3 Chinchilla's. The first two we got were named "Chin Burton" and "Danger Mouse" . Chin Burton lived a short life :( but Danger Mouse stayed with me through everything.  Okay moving on...

I picked Naoki up he was a tiny little puff ball of energy so cute! I held him in my arms in the car ride home and cried. I finally had someone to love and keep me company. He will always be my baby and I'm so lucky to have such a loyal sweet dog<3

22 Months today.

This morning I woke up to sadie hugging my neck per usual or sometimes she throws her sippy cup or takes my blanket away prompting me to WAKE THE F UP!  Today was extra special, I looked into Sadie's eyes and was in awe and I cried. I cried out of happiness, That fact that I have raised a beautiful,  sweeet, loving soul makes my heart smile. Everyday she amazes me, teaches me something new.  I am so lucky to be her mother. I looked her in the eyes and told her this " You have almost been on this Earth for two years, and have made so many people happy and have developed into such a wonderful soul" of course she had no clue what I meant as tears were running down my face. It's just crazy to think about... A child is in your womb for 9 months... then this... if that makes sense. its a beautiful thing. No matter how hard these past two years have been I am happy to say we made it this far and it can only get better. Our co-parenting has been going so well. I enjoy our saturdays when we both take her to swim as a family, I enjoy our breakfasts, I enjoy seeing Sadie thrive off of our relationship. I am so happy that we took this route. some days are harder than others but its all worth it in the end. Sadie has two parents that love her and that have a great friendship.

Anyway, whoa how time flies... in two months Sadie will be 2 years old. OMG!

Also, I got a new car this past weekend and said goodbye to my sweet baby blue :(... I will miss that car no matter what a POS it was. I worked my ass off for it. Happy that I now have a more comfortable car for both sades and I :)

Here are some pics from our days..

Froyo Date. Why? because I'm 22 Months!

bagels, doctor visits, and coffee

I'll just start off by saying the past couple days have been pretty hard. Sadie is getting more difficult by the day. I took her to a doctor visit today because I was worried about her speech development. I know she's smart... I know she has surpassed many milestones at an early age. The one thing I was worried about was her lack of using words. It is always "wahh mamamma wahh" to get what she wants. I try and practice with her everyday .. flashcards, repeating everthing so she understands, which she does. Its just hard for her OR I think shes lazy. The doctor said she is going to be one of those kids who just starts speaking in sentences. I too believe that. Anyway, we have a referral to a speech therapist who will evaluate her again. I'm not worried, I just want some more insight.

After the doctor visit and her 4 shots I took her and myself to Starbucks and Goldsteins bagels and we sat and shared food and she had her first chocolate milk for being such a good girl!

If you know me (which most of you don't) I'm obsessed with Formula 1. So my race weekend begins now!! Japanese Grand prix! We are both huge fans of Fernando Alonso!!

Some photos from our day:

Errands with a 21 month old.

I have had a list of errands to do that I am slowly chipping away at. I told myself today was the day they were going to be DONE. Let's start off with the morning... I tried taking a shower while Sadie was napping just to have the shower door swing open as I was washing my face and a little person fully clothed jumped in with me. YES, fully dressed. Relaxing shower = FAIL.

Now to conquer the household chores and errands... I decided to run errands before it was deathly hot here in la. ( I have no AC in my car)  Sadie had been throwing herself on the floor and hitting today... these terrible twos are testing me! Sometimes I wonder where my sweet baby girl went? thankfully the tantrums don't last too long, although they are happening much more frequently.

The list was:

  •  Bank
  • Pharmacy
  • Library
  • Market
  • Target
I did manage to get everything done!!! Even though Sadie was screaming all throughout Target, grabbing things off shelves. We went there to get my Halloween throw and a few other Halloween goodies :). When we got to the library she ran in SCREAMING at the top of her lungs  (out of excitement) I can't blame the kid... the library is an awesome place! At the bank she grabbed my wallet and dumped it out while I was using the ATM.... ahhh this kid!

Love her to pieces but it's so hard just to get simple errands done, to get anything done. The hardest thing was the heat and having to take Sadie in and back out of her car seat so many times. We had a nice day together, may had been rough on me but its all worth it.

Here are some photos of our day:

Sadie was yelling at a Cement truck

Got another Halloween throw from Target!
(I get one every year)

Who needs cable?

So last night was the first episode of the newest season of Dexter. It's crazy to think I've waited almost a YEAR for it to come back on! The weirdest thing about it was that we no longer have cable (been about 2 months now) It was a blessing in disguise! I was paying Direct tv easily over $100 a month before we cancelled. I thought I would never again be able to watch all my favorite shows which were mostly on HBO and Showtime. I WAS WRONG!

We now rely on Netflix, Hulu+, HboGo, and a few sites for the other shows and Formula 1 I watch. I couldn't be happier and its nice to have one less bill a month. I was just a bit excited I didn't miss the season premiere due to no cable! Can't wait for the rest of the season.

-if you have the internet, YOU DO NOT NEED CABLE.
